Top Netherlands equipment rental company Ampco Flashlight Rental has made a major investment in Robe’s new multi-purpose moving light fixture – the Pointe.
The order for 100 Pointes is due to the current demands of the rental market and the fact that Robe’s highly adaptable, super-bright, multi-functional unit is becoming increasingly popular and appearing more and more frequently on equipment riders.
Marco de Koff, Ampco Flashlight’s Operations Manager reports that they were impressed by the functionality of the Pointe, its output, the unique design and the fact that “LD’s love them” … and that having Pointes in rental stock puts them “Right in the front seat”.
The first batch of 60 Pointes was delivered to the Utrecht based company, one of the largest privately owned rental facilities in Europe with a great reputation for excellence, by Robe’s proactive Benelux distributor Controllux.
It is the first Robe investment by Ampco Flashlight Rental, which also is currently using a substantial number of cross-hired Robe LEDWash 300s on various projects.
“We have known about Robe for a long time,” continues Marco, “And have seen them establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Particularly in the last three years, they have come up with some really exciting and innovative products.”
Ampco Flashlight Rental works in all sectors of the entertainment industry – concert touring, television, theatrical productions, corporate shows and live events of all types - supplying lighting, sound, video and motion control equipment and solutions.
The Rental department has a fantastic industry pedigree stretching back over 30 years, with over 150 full time employees in the Utrecht HQ, over 80 of whom are technicians. This set-up ensures that they can offer continuity and the best service and standards to their clients at all times.
The new Pointes will go into immediate service on three festivals - Lowlands 2013, Mysteryland 2013 and Uitmarkt 2013.
