The TE™ technology addresses the problem of performance longevity of ageing LEDs by making the exchange of the engine a simple procedure that can be carried out in just a few minutes. But transferable means so much more than replaceable! Different sources can be fitted to one fixture depending on task. Every TE™ engine has its own, unique memory with all engine data of its usage.
Manufacturing high-output fixtures is challenging, but harnessing LED power to project over even greater distances is exceptionally difficult. However, Robe has broken the mold, taking LED fixtures to new heights. We've achieved what was previously thought impossible-producing narrow beams of light over long distances with stadium-level performance, a feat once exclusive to discharge source fixtures.
To maintain consistently high lumen output, even with the rigours of outdoor performance, water, dirt, dust, haze, and smoke are repelled from the front lens with our unique parCoat™ hydrophobic, oleophobic resistant coating.
The Robe COM application is an app based on NFC (Near Field Communication). It can be used to access to fixture’s settings of our NFC-based navigation display systems as well as reading out data of our TE™ Transferable Engines.
Outdoor fixtures need to operate in extreme cold. Therefore, Robe iSeries™ fixtures contain an innovative POLAR+™ technology - a special standby mode with low power consumption, in which the fixture's sensors and communications channels continue to function.
The L3™ Low Light Linearity System produces imperceptible, ultra-smooth fades to black.
The Robe Ethernet Access Portal allows to access internal data from a networked fixture, viewed as a web page, addressable via the fixtures network IP.
Cpulse™ is a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control system for luminaires that allows you to select and fine-tune the LED driving frequency, from either the fixture's onboard display or remotely via DMX. By frequency manipulation in a range from 800 Hz to 25 kH, you ensure no flicker will be visible on any camera system including the latest HD & UHD models, ready for 8K and 16K. This means our fixtures can be used with all the latest cameras types for TV, video and film applications.
The General Device Type Format creates a unified definition for exchange of data for the operation of intelligent luminaries, such as moving lights. The file format is human readable and developed using open source formats.
The innovative and exceptionally accurate Robe patented MAPS™ system provides stationary reset without calibration movement, as sensors calculate their absolute positions. This allows discreet resetting of fixtures during a performance and power cycling of luminaires within confined spaces.
The Robe EMS™ (Electronic Motion Stabiliser) system is a technology for precise Pan and Tilt movements, which reduces vibrations from audio outputs, truss movement and sprung or suspended floors.
AirLOC™ (Less Optical Cleaning) technology greatly reduces the level of airborne particles drawn over the optical elements in the luminaire.
Robe lighting’s Epass™ provides Ethernet in/out connections with a pass-through switch that sustains Ethernet integrity when the fixture has no power to automatically maintain network connectivity.
There is no need to be stuck with frosts supplied with the fixture! Robe’s MagFrost™ magnetic paddle system provides you with quickly exchangeable frosts, enabling you to select those most suitable for your production. 0.5°, 1°, 3.5°, 5°, 10°, 20° and 30° frosts are available.
Robe's patented Plano4™ 4-blade framing shutter module offers unparalleled beam control with individual movement and rotation control for each blade. The Plano4™ FC module features full curtain movement, allowing each blade to move entirely across the light path for full-wipe capability.
Luminaires are finely balanced instruments. Any alteration to their balance or weight makes them susceptible to damage. To enable our fixtures to be easily reconfigured into camera-mounted follow spot fixtures for use with our RoboSpot™ remotely controlled follow spot system, we have ensured stability is maintained with camFIT™.
The highly advanced patented RAINS™ (Robe Automatic Ingress Protection System) technology not only prevents ingress. It actively manages a fixture's internal microclimate removing internal moisture build-up caused by constant heating and cooling to provide maximum protection for electronics, revolutionising how outdoor fixtures are managed and protected.

This Technical Newsletter provides an overview of a recent update to RoboSpot, new documentation and software releases for Robe fixtures. RoboSpot control now supports additional fixture models and Virtual Colour channels, while various fixes enhance reliability and workflow. Robe enjoyed an excellent and super-active Prolight+Sound expo in Frankfurt, Germany, exhibiting alongside its five core businesses – Robe, Avolites, Anolis, LSC Systems and Artistic Licence – in a ‘Robe Village’ area that was constantly busy throughout the four-day trade show.
Robe will have a strong presence at Prolight+Sound 2025 in Hall 12.1 on Booth D10 together with all its associated businesses – Avolites, Anolis, LSC Control Systems and Artistic Licence, all of which will be adjacent.
Robe – and its associated businesses – enjoyed a brilliantly busy ISE 2025 expo in Barcelona, presenting their largest stand to date in Hall 6, launching two exciting new products - the iSTROBE and the iESPRITE LTL - and showing a range of other new technologies as well as staging a high-octane one-person live show with gravity-challenging acrobat Oskar Skrypko which attracted people to the already buzzing booth.
